There was more disappointment to follow, against RAF Coltishall who had brought a squad big enough to field two teams, and who had also drawn their first match 2-2 against our city rivals Dynamo Zizkov We were expecting a tough game, but still started brightly, Child turning their left back inside out before delivering a perfect slide-rule pass that the Partisan forwards nevertheless failed to connect to. We won a corner off it, however, which Child then mis-kicked straight behind the goal. An omen of the downfall to come? It was a back-and-forth game, but a neat one-two in our corner set RAF up for their opener. As keeper Polishchuk ran out anticipating a cross, their striker struck a shot from a very tight angle and we were 1-0 down. Half-time 0-1. In the second half Byrne switched up to centre-mid to try and create more openings for us, with Keaty dropping back to cover. Orr was thrown into the fray up front, but despite a few delightful moves, was still clearly finding his way back to match sharpness. RAF were creating more opportunities, and it took some brave defending to keep them out, a flying defensive header from substitute Grigorov being the pick of the bunch. Our substitutions were also messy, with players out of position, which didnt help matters. Then the worst happened, as a mix-up between Grigorov and Polishchuk at the left post let in a howler, and we were 2-0 down and out.
